Dosage and administration:

Unless otherwise prescribed by the veterinarian or therapist.

The optimal dosage is 1 - 2 times daily:

Dog 10 - 15 drops

Cat 5 - 10 drops

20 drops is approximately 1 ml.

If it is difficult in practice to administer this product several times a day, once a day or once every 2 days is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dose. This product can still be effectively used, but the reaction may take a little longer.

Administration
Administer this product with a plastic syringe directly into the mouth, possibly diluted with a little water. Preferably not at the same time as a meal, as the product works better when absorbed by the clean oral mucosa.

If an animal does not like the product, the drops can be given on a small treat.

If the cat does not accept the drops, put the drops on a warm spoon and let the alcohol evaporate from the product. Then give it diluted with some water or milk with a syringe directly into the mouth. The drops can also be applied to the top of the paw; check whether the cat licks the drops off its paw.

Advice for use
Observe the animal's reaction carefully. Provide necessary rest, but also ensure exercise. In general, for stiff movements, it is advisable to walk the animal frequently. Straight-line movements, walking, and trotting, in particular, are good for keeping the joints flexible, and swimming is also very good for the joints. Abrupt stops, jumping, and quick turns, such as during play with other animals and throwing sticks and balls (for dogs), should be avoided. This places too much strain on the joints.

Duration of treatment
In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can range from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, continue administering this product for a few more days.

For long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, a maintenance dosage can be started. This is usually half of the dosage indicated on the package. When dosing this product, observe the animal's reaction carefully. Initially, a higher dosage may be needed; this product can be safely given at a double dose. Gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dose.

This product can be given continuously. It is advisable to have a break week after every 6 to 8 weeks. This way, the 'stimulus' can be offered again after the break week. Resume treatment immediately if there is a reason to do so.

Storage
Avoid direct sunlight and store this product dry and at a temperature between 5-20C. Keep out of reach of children. The expiry date is stated on the label and the box.

Synergy and combinations with other products

Contraindications
During pregnancy and lactation, always use in consultation with the treating veterinarian.

Side effects
To date, no side effects of this product are known or have been reported. With some dilutions and extracts, a short-term exacerbation may occur at the start of treatment. This means that the animal is reacting to the product. In case of severe increase, halve the dosage or temporarily stop and then slowly build up again.
