Return and refund policy
At Giant Breed Essentials, we want you to be happy with your order. Is a product not quite what you expected? We are happy to help.
- Withdrawal period and notifying us of a return
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.
Would you like to return a product? Please contact us within this period at info@giantbreedessentials.nl or use the withdrawal option on our website.
After notifying us of your withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to send the product back.
- Conditions for returns
You may inspect and assess a product as you would in a physical shop. We ask you to handle products carefully and, where reasonably possible, return them complete and in their original packaging.
If a product has been used beyond what is necessary to assess it, resulting in a reduction in value, we may deduct that reduction from your refund.
- Dog beds, toys and other items
The statutory withdrawal period generally also applies to dog beds, mattresses, vetbeds, toys and accessories. We recommend checking these items before allowing your dog to use them.
If use has left products dirty, damaged or heavily covered in dog hair, their value may have been reduced.
- Food, treats and supplements
The statutory withdrawal rules also apply to food, treats and supplements.
For sealed products that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, the right of withdrawal may be lost if the seal is broken after delivery. This applies only where the legal requirements for this exception are met.
- Return shipping costs
Customers exercising their statutory right of withdrawal are responsible for the direct costs of returning the products.
These costs depend on the parcel size, weight and country of dispatch. Return shipping may cost more for larger items, such as XXL dog beds. We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping your proof of postage.
If a product is damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied, please contact us. We will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory rights, without you having to pay the necessary return shipping costs.
- Refunds
Following withdrawal, we will refund the amounts due within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notification.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the products back or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever happens first.
If you return your entire order, we will also refund the original standard delivery costs. Additional costs for a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded. For partial returns, the original delivery costs do not have to be refunded.
Your refund will be made using the same payment method you used for your order, unless we agree otherwise. We will not charge any additional fees for this.
